In my opinion, your comfort on a flight begins with how you pack your carry-on luggage. Every single item that we bring has a useful purpose and the thought of flying without every single thing gives us a ton of anxiety. Thus, here are the seven items that contain everything that will help you pass time and stay comfortable.

Travel Pillow
Traveling on an airplane is considered as one of the most uncomfortable travel experiences, especially if you are on an economy seat. A travel pillow is specially designed to keep your head and neck steady and comfortable during your flight.
Water bottle
Water will help you stay hydrated and prevent jet lag. Airplanes are dry and those little water bottles you get on the plane aren’t enough to keep you hydrated throughout the flight. A collapsible water bottle with a filter can be filled with tap water after going through security, and even when filled, they take up less room than a normal reusable bottle. Most airports have water bottle filling stations, and the flight attendants will always fill up your bottle if you ask.

Charger
Don't let low battery anxiety ruin your flight. No matter how great your phone’s battery life is, don’t assume it’s going to have enough to get you to your hotel. Keep your charger with you in case your phone needs a quick boost, especially if all the information you need to get from point A to point B is saved in your email inbox.

Eye mask
Use flight time to catch some sleep. Good sleep will help you recover your energy and strength after long hours on the plane. A good eye mask should be able to block out all light and isn’t too tight around your head.
Earplugs
Protect your ears from crying babies. Earplugs will not only make your flight more enjoyable but could save your sanity along with your travels. Good earplugs are soft, comfortable and offer the highest noise reduction available.
Snacks
You should never travel hungry. Don’t worry, as long as your snack is wrapped and a non-liquid, it can go through security. Plus, it’s certainly a cheaper alternative to buying a pre-made sandwich at the airport. Bringing a piece of fruit and some raw almonds to snack on during the flight is a smart option.

Tablet
Pass the time by watching shows and movies. E-reader or audiobook library is also a good source of amusement.
